Job description
Harris Truck & Van
- To undertake heavy vehicle servicing i.e. periodic servicing and replacing wearable parts, brakes etc.
- MOT preparation.
- Vehicle Diagnostic.
- Keeping the workshop in a clean & tidy state with a keen eye for any potential safety issues, maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Steam cleaning vehicles to MOT standard.
- The candidate will be required to build up their own set of work tools over the term.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will work towards the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Heavy Vehicle) standard with Gateshead College.
Required Qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A* - C/ 9 - 4) Essential
- GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade A* - C/ 9 - 4) Essential
- Organisation skills
- Time keeping skills,
- Flexible
- Willingness to learn
There are opportunities for progression within the role for the right candidates upon successful completion of the Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Level 3.
