Students have the Edge

Our students have been recognised for all their hard work and dedication at the annual Student Edge Awards.

A total of 24 students, across all curriculum areas of the college received awards for a range of achievements including academic excellence, dedication to studies, overcoming adversity and outstanding sporting ability.

The event was hosted by the college’s very own Ant and Dec, Nadine Hudspeth and Ivan Jepson (members of the Exec Team by day) and began with a brilliant performance from Savannah Thompson Boak and Louis Jordison-Cleasby; two music students who serenaded guests during a drinks reception.

This was followed by a delicious three course meal, prepared and served by our hospitality and catering students.

David Alexander, Principal and Chief Executive at the college said: said: “It is a huge achievement to be chosen as the best of the best out of the thousands of learners who study with us. I am incredibly proud of those learners who were commended and I’m also extremely grateful to colleagues for their passion and commitment in providing such a high-quality education and training experience.

“Everyone who received an award should be very proud and I congratulate them all for their achievements.”
