Are you passionate about beauty and eager to make a mark in the glamorous world of make-up, nails, and skincare?
Join us at our state-of-the-art-salon Botanica, where you’ll train alongside our expert salon team. Experience hands-on learning with our innovative curriculum that blends practical techniques with insightful theory, ensuring you’re well-equipped for success in the dynamic beauty industry.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll learn:
Three GCSE grades 1-3, preferably including maths and English, plus an informal interview with a member of our teaching team.
You will be continually assessed throughout your programme with practical assessments performed in our state of the art beauty salons.
Theory is assessed through written assignments.
We have an established team who love teaching beauty therapy and have a huge variety of experience.
We have worked for national companies such as Saks Hair and Beauty, and local salons including City Retreat in Newcastle.
We have our very own Microbiologist who turned her hand to beauty and one teacher who travelled to exotic places working on the cruise ships. Another member of the team completed her course with us and never left, she now teaches with us.
An important part of your course will be an industry placement.
This is your chance to see the industry and get some real-life experience, which is always good for your CV!
You need to do this for one day a week alongside your course, you can choose a beauty salon, nail salon or anywhere linked to the course that will boost your confidence and help you develop your skills.
Check out how we are embedding sustainability throughout our hair and beauty courses:
You will require a kit and uniform, which will allow you to present a professional image and develop your skills in our own salon Botanica.
We’ll invite you to our summer open event where we share all the information on how to get your hands on everything you need.
We will support and guide you through your studies and the course. You’ll be able to continue your training onto Level 2 beauty therapy or a beauty apprenticeship at Level 2.
This course is free to those aged under 19 years old.
Most people aged 19 years and over can qualify for free or reduced price course fees and there are grants and bursaries you can apply for to help cover the costs of coming to college, depending on your circumstances.
