Functional Skills are applied qualifications which enable students to demonstrate real-life skills in mathematics. Students demonstrate the skills through real-life assessments set in every day contexts.
There are no formal entry requirements, only a positive attitude and a determination to work hard.
You will be asked to sit an initial assessment so that we can identify the level you are currently working at, and over the first six weeks of the course, your teacher will help diagnose any areas for development.
There are three assessments, reading, writing and speaking & listening.
