You’ll gain the basic skills you need as well as developing your employability, communication and social skills.
This Vehicle Accident Repair (Multi-Skilled) course is the perfect introduction to body repair, paint application, mechanical, electrical and trim.
You will work on the latest vehicles including EV and hybrid.
You will work within dedicated workshops, learning about metal preparation techniques and body fillers.
You will be assessed via observation of practical activity, supported by verbal questioning and the completion of a practical assessment workbook which will contain a variety of practical tasks and knowledge based questions to cover all learning modules.
You will also undertake online multiple choice tests which will be graded as pass, merit, or distinction.

This means you’ll be plugged into the world of work from day one and get the opportunity to learn first hand what employers are looking for in new recruits and apprentices.
You’ll also take part in work experience, working as part of a professional team.
You will study in our state-of-the-art Skills Academy for Automotive, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics on Team Valley in Gateshead.
This academy is fully equipped with dedicated vehicle maintenance workshops, body shop, two spray painting booths, welding facilities and a rolling road as well as social spaces and a café.
There will be an additional cost of £26.50 for safety boots and coveralls.
This course is free to those aged under 19 years old.
Most people aged 19 years and over can qualify for free or reduced price course fees and there are grants and bursaries you can apply for to help cover the costs of coming to college, depending on your circumstances.
If you already have a full level 3 qualification and are aged 19 years over, you can apply for an Advanced Learning Loan or pay the fee upfront in full and qualify for a 10% discount.
