The T Level Transition qualification is an exciting brand new one-year full-time course which has been designed in partnership with businesses and employers to give you the knowledge and skills to support your move onto the Level 3 T-level.
We are committed to ensuring you are ahead of the jobs market when you leave us and we will provide the knowledge and skills needed to work in the Healthcare/Science sector.
You will develop the necessary skills and knowledge to show any potential employers and will have the right attitude, work ethic and high standards that would be an asset to any organisation.
In college, you will gain the theoretical knowledge of the science and healthcare sector. You will be involved in all aspects of the Healthcare and Science curriculum such as learning the key fundamentals of scientific concepts. Throughout the year, you will be involved in various scientific experiments which will give you the skills needed to work in professional labs and progress confidently onto our T Level. You will learn and develop your skills by using a range of exciting and innovative teaching and learning methods including projects, presentations, displays and innovative use of VR bringing your curriculum experience alive.
During your time in college you will be based in our clinical teaching room which has a wide range of healthcare and science equipment which will help to further embed the theory elements. This will allow you the time and experience to showcase your skills ready for your progression onto our Level 3 T Level.
Assessment will be ongoing throughout the course to ensure you have an understanding of core skills and subject content.
An end of year assessment will take place in the form of an external exam and
an ongoing project which will be based around the skills gained throughout the
transition course.
There is an amazing teaching team with fascinating backgrounds and interests so there will always be someone to support you. Your study programme will be delivered by teachers who are vocationally competent and passionate about the subject area.
All teachers maintain their industry knowledge and skills by returning to
practice at least once per year. Across the team there is a diverse range
of skills and knowledge.
This is what will set you apart from the rest. The industry specific opportunities are fantastic.
You will get an introduction to the sector through undertaking work experience with some of our partner employers in a range of health and science settings. This will support you to understand the key skills necessary to get ahead in the industry.
You are required to purchase the following kit;
- A uniform to wear in placement
- Sensible shoes and black trousers for placement
- At least one course textbook and a range of stationary.

Where you go next is up to you and your imagination. We can support you onto our Level 3 T Level which could allow you to gain the correct credits to study at a higher education level.

This course is free to those aged under 19 years old.
Most people aged 19 years and over can qualify for free course fees and there are grants and bursaries you can apply for to help cover the costs of coming to college, depending on your circumstances.
