I’m Elly and I’ve just got back from an amazing trip to Paris where I also got to visit Disneyland.
As a travel and tourism student, I was really excited to be given the chance to go to France and learn more about the culture and get an insight into Disney as one of the world’s most successful tourist destinations.
I’d like to go on to work in a travel agency or possibly to spend some time working abroad as a travel rep, so this was an unmissable opportunity.
It was a four-day trip including the travel. We took the bus and the Eurostar on the way there and got to experience the Calais to Dover ferry on the way back. I definitely preferred the Eurostar; it was so much quicker.
For me the highlight of the trip was seeing Paris. It’s so impressive, from the architecture of all the old buildings and seeing the Eiffel Tower up close, visiting the Louvre and stopping by the quaint cafes, it must be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We took a boat trip along the Seine which was fab .
Another great part of the trip was Disneyland Paris. We had a whole day of enjoying the park to see the castle, go on the rides and watch the entertainment, which was so much fun.
The next day we went back to Disney for a conference where we got to hear from Disney staff about the business. We learned about marketing, digital design and the different careers within Disney, which is such a huge organisation.
It was really interesting to learn how Disney do things and how they keep the magic alive through everything they do.
