What you will do in your working day
- MIG welding
- TIG welding aluminium and steel
- Bench fitting skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic circuits
- Knowledge of pneumatic circuits
- Pump, motor and drive system understanding
- Mechanical fault-finding capabilities
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Pipe work installation
- Basic M/C, milling and turning
- Abrasive wheels training
- During the pursuit of all duties the Code of Ethics and Code of Management will be adhered to at all times.
The training you will be getting
You will work towards a Level 3 Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard with Gateshead College.
Required Qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A*-C/4-9) Essential
- GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade A*-C/4-9) Essential
- Team working skills
- Communication skills
- Initiative
- Willingness to learn
- Self motivated
- Ability to follow procedures
- Committed to development
