Julie Kimber, Netball Academy Head Coach at the college said: “Huge congratulations to Evie and Olivia. This is an amazing achievement for them both and I know they’ll do an amazing job in their AoC captain roles as they’re already co-captains for our Netball Academy 1st team squad. They are both very talented players and it’s fantastic news that they’ll be representing Gateshead College on the national stage.
Evie is delighted to have been selected for the national squad: “I’m really excited and proud to be chosen not only to play on a national level but also to be given the vice captaincy. It’ll be fantastic to play and train with the national team and I’m sure this will improve me not only as a player but as a person to”.
