Interested in cyber security and hacking? Then come along and have a go at cryptography and password cracking
We’ll show you what encryption is and how it has evolved, starting with Caesar and Vigenère ciphers and moving onto hashing, symmetric and asymmetric encryption.
You will get to practice using the different methods of encryption to send messages and decryption for understanding the message received and you can work in teams to develop a program that can be used to crack passwords.
Plus, you’ll also have a chance to meet our teachers and future classmates.
Please make sure you arrive on time for the start of the event as it’s not a drop in event and we don’t want you to miss out on any of the activities.
The session is for prospective students only and whilst parents/carers are welcome to come along you’ll be asked to wait in our designated waiting areas.
Please also be aware that the Tyne Bridge is down to one lane each way and whilst this hasn’t had an impact on getting to Baltic Campus, you might want to allow more time for your journey.
